MANILA, Philippines - Metro Manila ’s largest city is also big on progress and development: earning recognition as the richest local government unit across the country, one of the cleanest and greenest places of residence, as well as carving a reputation for a safe and business-friendly environment.

Among its   emerging districts is Fairview, located on the Northern section of the city, which is rapidly fulfilling its tag as Quezon City ’s “next growth area.”

Fairview is witnessing this revitalization through growth in business and trade enterprises. Barren tracts of land have suddenly been occupied by major shopping malls and emerging business districts. Schools, hospitals, and other institutions carrying established names, have also flocked to explore opportunities. Even the completion of a railway system will further link the area to unstoppable progress.

The next phase to expect is the migration of residents. Seeing this development, DMCI Homes, the country’s leading resort-inspired community developer, has come up with a maiden project in the area that they have dubbed as “The Redwoods.”

Now considered as an important landmark in the area, The Redwoods has settled on a strategic vantage, at the intersection of Quirino Highway and Regalado Avenue, right across two giant malls – SM Fairview and Robinsons Novaliches. Sprawled on a generous 2-hectare prime property, this medium-rise community is composed of five Neo-Asian inspired buildings offering low density living with only 521 units within the development.

With the first building, Chi, that has welcomed its residents last March, they are now enjoying the variety of living advantages available at The Redwoods. Most evident of these is their fantastic location, which puts them in a very dynamic area that offers access to leisure and recreation options, business destinations, and other daily urban living requirements.

Aside from the two major malls, The Redwoods is also located near the Sta. Lucia Neopolitan Business Hub, Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF) Medical Center, San Lorenzo General Hospital, Sacred Heart Novaliches, Mater Carmeli School, School of St. Anthony, as well as churches like Ascension of Our Lord Parish, Mary the Queen Parish, and Iglesia ni Cristo that are all less than five kilometers away.

Major universities like the University of the Philippines Diliman and Ateneo de Manila University and commercial centers like TriNoma and SM North Edsa are very accessible, all at no more than 30 minutes’ drive away.

The location is also convenient for motorists with C-5 Road Extension connecting through Quirino Highway and North Luzon Expressway. Also, the commuters will appreciate easy access to a transport terminal right outside the development. Furthermore, the completion of MRT-7 by year 2013, will likewise boost accessibility to the area.

These urban conveniences are meanwhile complemented by the resort theme of the development, using allusions towards Neo-Asian influences. Around The Redwoods, residents can discover modern renderings of traditional Asian characteristic, reflected at the entrance gate, clubhouse, and building façades.

Community amenities are deemed first-rate – a veritable wish list of features any resident would desire to have in their community. These include a lap pool, kiddie pool, basketball court, playground, fitness gym, game room, tea house gazebos, and park-like gardens/ landscaping that evoke a relaxing and peaceful ambiance. The clubhouse also offers a lounge, function room, fitness gym, game room, and entertainment room.  The entire clubhouse is WiFi-ready to keep up with the corporate/social networking needs of residents.

MANILA, Philippines - The Neo-Asian design of The Redwoods, DMCI Homes’ newest residential community in Fairview, Quezon City, invokes the kind of living environment that one looks for in a future home – that of tranquility and serenity.

This atmosphere is apparent in the newly-opened showroom of The Redwoods – a space which strongly banners the developer’s Neo-Asian-inspired living community in this side of Metro Manila.

“The model unit and showroom was designed as to echo the overall architectural theme of The Redwoods. Its inspiration is derived from the Japanese “tea house” concept and blended with contemporary ambience. The modern feel of the areas is accessorized with traditional Japanese elements such as the Japanese Kimono used as art pieces and the use of cherry blossom patterns on accent pillows, and the wall mural located in the reception area of the sales office. Some of the furniture pieces are also inspired by the Asian-minimalism style as can be seen in the negotiation rooms, AV areas, bedrooms and dining areas. This establishment will serve as a glimpse of what The Redwoods is all about – the first Neo-Asian inspired residence in Fairview,” said Interior Designer, Cecile Narvaez.

The look pays homage to the world-famous Japanese design concept of minimalism, or the idea of stripping down design elements to its most fundamental features. Narvaez added that having this kind of interior design is effortless since the materials and items can be purchased locally.

Each of the 506 units available in all five, medium-rise buildings that will make up the community will showcase a simple yet elegant finish. The clean lines of the room layout and architecture will promote an airy feel to the owner’s private space – a way of welcoming personal Zen in one’s lifestyle.

Units available are two-bedrooms (gross unit area of 55.5-65.5 sqm.) and three-bedrooms (gross unit area of 82-84 sqm.), inclusive of balcony and service area. The buildings – Chi, Mizu, Kaze, Kaji and Sora – will have five floors each, and will be designed to showcase state-of the art Neo- Asian architecture at its best.

The contemporary Asian design extends to the outside surroundings of each building. Residents and their guests are welcomed by a stunning and impressive entrance gate which also invokes the community’s oriental feel.

The themed clubhouse offers a beautiful backdrop to the relaxed pace of The Redwoods community. There are also tea house gazebos that add an authentic Japanese feel to the whole ambience – nooks where residents can go to for some quiet time with a book, or an unhurried conversation with a love one. Walk around the community and find instant peace from well-landscaped gardens.

Despite the serene atmosphere, there is no lack of convenient amenities for its residents. The Redwoods set-up is complemented with modern amenities, combination that makes the Neo-Asian inspired environment more attractive for urban dwellers.

At the clubhouse are a range of fitness facilities for residents with an active lifestyle. And since it is from DMCI Homes, one is assured that they will be enjoying a home with resort-like amenities. A covered badminton court and a basketball court are both available for use. Also available are lap pools, a gym, a playground for the kids, and even tea houses that add charm to the whole property.
